The centerpiece of Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 marketing campaign--Peter Stormare's The Replacer--is coming to the game as a playable character in the upcoming Season 1 update.

The Replacer tracer pack operator bundle comes with two skins for The Replacer, including a standard version and a bonus version for people who own the new Season 1 BlackCell bundle. The package also includes weapon blueprints for guns called Quick Wit and Ramifications, along with the "Aura +5000" animated calling card, the "Many Hats" animated emblem, the "Replacement Killer" finishing move, and a vehicular weapon charm.

For the BlackCell version of The Replacer, Activision warned that players need to buy the BlackCell bundle first; the skin won't work if you buy the BlackCell bundle after buying the Replacer bundle. Activision did not announce the price points for any of the new Season 01 store bundles.

Stormare himself voices The Replacer for this operator bundle.

Activision created more than two dozen Replacer ads for Black Ops 6, featuring Stormare replacing all manner of people, including TV hosts, the Pope, the NFL's Kyler Murray, boxer Canelo Alvarez, podcast host Joe Rogan, and political analysts. You can see all the spots on the Call of Duty YouTube page.

Stormare's The Replacer debuted in 2013 and has been a mainstay for Activision's Black Ops marketing campaigns over the years. The first in the series of commercials for Black Ops 6 featuring The Replacer went live during NFL matchups back in September.

The Replacer has even replaced an in-game Call of Duty: Warzone character, Graves, prompting some to theorize Activision would eventually put him in the game--now that's happening. Activision said the Replacer bundle will be available "shortly" after Season 01 begins on November 14.

In addition to the Replacer bundle, players are getting new maps, modes, and weapons, along with a new Warzone map, Area 99. You can read Activision's extensive blog post to get up to date with everything coming in Season 01.
